Beijing – Chinese authorities have formally congratulated Somalia on the successful inauguration of Abdulqadir Ahmed “Firdhiye” as President of the Northeast State. The message highlights Beijing’s commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic relations with Somalia and supporting federal governance structures across the country.
Officials noted that China values its ongoing partnership with Somalia, encompassing political, economic, and security cooperation, and views the integration of the Northeast State into the federal system as a step toward greater national cohesion and stability.
In its statement, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed support for Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political development, signaling Beijing’s interest in regional stability and the strengthening of bilateral initiatives.
