Mogadishu – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with his counterpart, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The call reflects the strong diplomatic ties and ongoing coordination between the two brotherly nations.

During the discussion, the two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in Somalia and the wider Horn of Africa region, including political stability, regional security, and shared challenges affecting the area. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region.

The Somali Foreign Minister expressed Somalia’s deep appreciation for the principled stance and continued support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia toward Somalia’s efforts to safeguard its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also commended Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting Somalia at regional and international forums, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
