Hiran Region– An airstrike has targeted Al-Shabaab fighters and their military vehicles in the Kukayli area, located near the town of Mahas in Somalia’s central Hiran region, the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) announced on Tuesday. The operation achieved its objectives, striking the designated targets with precision and reinforcing the government’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign.
According to NISA, the airstrike was conducted with support from international security partners as part of Somalia’s broader efforts to combat terrorism and restore stability across the central regions. The agency emphasized that the precision of the strike demonstrated the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led operations against extremist networks.
